About Us

Issy Boim founded BIGSecurity Inc. in 2005 after he parted ways with Air Security International, L.P.  He was the founder of ASI, a security counseling firm, and served as president of the company between 1990-2005.  Issy’s distinguished career spans 35 years of experience in advising his clients and preventing them from becoming targets of terrorists or criminals.

Issy was born in Israel where he began his career as a member of the Israeli Security Services (Shin Bet).  During his 22 years of increasing responsibilities with the organization he worked in both counter-intelligence and anti-terrorism.  During his service he was assigned to assist in the founding of the aviation security concept for El Al Israeli Airlines.  He was assigned to implement the system for El-Al Israeli Airlines in London’s Heathrow airport from 1971-1972.

During his service he specialized in security management for aviation, marine and general institutions.  He served as the Director of Security for all the Israeli institutes in South Africa between 1977-1981, including the Israeli Embassy, EL AL and ZIM (Israeli commercial marine).

Following Issy’s retirement from public service (in 1985) he became a Project Security Director for various airline companies including American Airlines, Trans World Airlines and Northwest Airlines.  He was involved with the extensive security investigations following Pan American’s Lockerbie terrorist incident.  Later he became a Project Security Director for Pan Am.

Subsequently in 1989 he moved to Houston, Texas to establish Air Security International. The consulting firm’s concept was originally based on national and international security needs for general aviation, commercial aviation, corporate flight departments and operators.  In 1992 he became part owner of the company.  Under his leadership Air Security International became the leading consultant firm in the field of aviation security.  The company supported international operations for general aviation, flight departments, and corporate business travelers.

Issy served as a member of the White House Aviation and Security Commission with Vice President Al Gore acting as Commission Chairman.

Under Issy’s helm, Air Security International was honored with the 2004 Loral Award granted by the publication Aviation Week & Space Technology.

In 2005 after sixteen years of service as President, Issy departed from Air Security International to establish BIGSecurity Inc.  Along with his business infrastructure and his experience in preventative security, with an ever growing and renewing global international network, Issy continues to share over 35 years of reputable expertise and creativity in providing security consulting and services for the private and public business sectors.
